What is Personal Information?
As part of providing our services to you, we may collect information from or about you, including information that is considered Personal Information. “Personal Information” is data that can be used to identify a person individually (on its own or in combination with other data). Therefore, this Notice governs our collection, protection, use, retention, disclosure, and other processing of Personal Information and your rights relating to these activities.
What Personal Information Is Collected and Used?
We collect Personal Information when:
- you give it to us (for example, when you create an account as an influencer or purchaser, set up a profile, or communicate with us);
- we collect it automatically (for example, through cookies and similar technologies when you use the Platform or the website); or

When you create an account on our Platform, complete or update your profile, connect your social media accounts, browse our site, participate in marketing activities, or contact us for support, you give us your Personal Information. We also collect certain Personal Information through automated technology such as cookies placed on your browser, SDKs in our apps, and similar technologies, with your consent where required. We may also receive Personal Information from business partners, analytics providers, and social media platforms, which help us operate and improve the Platform, detect and investigate fraud or misuse, and more effectively market our services.
How is your Personal Information shared?
We share your information with trusted third parties who help us operate, secure and improve the Platform, provide customer support, process payments, host data, and deliver marketing and analytics services. The full Privacy Notice below details how Personal Information is shared.

PRIVACY NOTICE
Introduction
This Privacy Notice explains the information we collect, how we use and share it, and how to exercise rights you may have in connection with our websites (including, but not limited to, doakiconnect.com) and our related applications, products and services that together power our social media marketplace connecting influencers and purchasers (collectively, the “Services” or the “Platform”). The Services are operated by Doaki Connect Inc., together with its affiliates, unless otherwise noted (“Doaki” “we”, “us” or “our”). Please also read our Terms of Service, which set out the terms governing the use of the Platform.
Doaki generally acts as a “controller” (or equivalent term under applicable law) when we decide why and how to process Personal Information for our own business purposes (for example, when we operate the Platform and manage user accounts). In some cases, particularly where an organization (for example, an agency or brand) uses the Platform to manage accounts for others, we may also act as a “processor” (or “service provider”) on behalf of that organization. This Privacy Notice applies when Doaki is acting as a controller of your Personal Information, unless otherwise noted.
Sometimes, we work with other companies and our affiliates to bring our users a complete experience on the Platform. This Privacy Notice does not apply to products or services offered by third parties that have their own terms and privacy policies (for example, social media platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X/Twitter, Snapchat, or other third-party websites or apps you use). You should carefully read each third-party’s privacy policies and any terms and conditions applicable to the product or service you use.
Who We Are and Our Commitment to Privacy
Doaki is a company incorporated in Canada with offices in Toronto, Ontario. As the controller of your information (when acting in that capacity), we believe in holding ourselves accountable to you. If you have any questions or concerns about our privacy practices or this Privacy Notice, you can reach us by using the information provided in the “Contact Us” section.
Who Are You
We collect Personal Information about several categories of people who interact with the Platform:
- These are individuals or entities who create an account on the Platform to present and promote their social media presence, audience, and services, including by connecting social media accounts, providing media kits, and participating in campaigns or collaborations. This Privacy Notice applies to your information when we act as controller.
- These are individuals or entities (for example, brands, agencies, or other organizations) that create an account on the Platform to search for, evaluate, and potentially engage influencers for marketing, promotional, or content-related activities. This Privacy Notice applies to your information when we act as controller.
- Visitors and Other Users. These are people who visit our websites or apps, interact with our content or marketing, or communicate with us but may not have an account.
- Business / Organizational Users. These are organizations that use the Platform for business purposes (for example, agencies or brands managing multiple team members). Where we provide our Services under contract with such an organization, that organization may be the controller of information processed within its account. In such cases, please also review any privacy information that organization provides to you.

Where required by law, we may keep business records related to charges, payments, refunds, taxes or billing issues.
- Support Data and Communications. We keep records of your communications with us. When you communicate with us (via email, in-app support tools, messaging, phone, social media, chatbots or otherwise), we collect your contact information, a description of your issue or question, and any related documentation or technical information we may need to help diagnose or resolve your concern. If you use chatbots or other automated communication tools, those tools may collect and record the contents of your communications as well as usage and analytics information.
- Marketing, Events and Program Data. We collect information you provide when you register for or participate in our marketing activities, such as webinars, contests, events, training sessions, or when you download content (for example, guides or whitepapers) or sign up for our newsletters or marketing communications. We may also collect location-related information (for example, approximate location based on IP address) where permitted by law.
- Account and Configuration Data. When you sign up for our Services, we collect information about how you configure your account and use the Platform, such as your account type (influencer or purchaser), subscription plan, team or organization settings, roles and permissions, connected social media accounts, saved campaigns or templates, and communication preferences.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies. We and our partners use cookies, web beacons, SDKs, and similar technologies to collect information about your interactions with our websites, apps and emails for essential, functional, analytical and advertising purposes. For more information, and to learn how you can control or opt out of certain cookies and tracking technologies, please refer to our Cookie Policy.

In order to provide these features and functionalities while you are using your mobile device, we may, with your consent, automatically collect geolocational information from your mobile device or wireless carrier and/or certain third-party service providers (collectively, “Geolocational Information”). Collection of such Geolocational Information occurs only when the Platform/App is running on your device. You may decline to allow us to collect such Geolocational Information, in which case we will not be able to provide certain features or functionalities to you.
Information We Receive from Other Sources
We receive information about you from other users, third-party services, our related companies, marketing platforms, public databases and business partners. We may combine this information with information we collect through other means described above. This helps us update and improve our records, operate and secure the Platform, identify new customers, advertise to you, and suggest Services that may be of interest.
Examples of such sources include:
- Social Media Platforms you choose to connect to the Platform;
- marketing and lead-generation partners who provide information about individuals and businesses that may be interested in our Services;
- We and the third-party technology providers, ad exchanges, ad networks, advertisers, agencies and ad servers with which we work use third-party analytics services (g., Google Analytics) to evaluate your use of the Platform, compile reports on activity, collect demographic data, analyze performance metrics, and collect and evaluate other information relating to the Platform and mobile and Internet usage. We do this to improve the Platform and to help us offer you new features and service. These third parties use cookies and other technologies to help analyze and provide us the data. You consent to the processing of data about you by these analytics providers in the manner and for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy; and
- other service providers we work with in connection with the Platform.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use the information we collect for the following purposes and to:
- Provide and Operate the Platform. We use your information to create and manage accounts for influencers and purchasers, operate the marketplace, match and recommend influencers and purchasers to each other, enable campaign creation and management, provide analytics and insights, process subscriptions and payments, and deliver customer support. This includes using Social Media Data you authorize us to access, to present metrics, insights and audience information to you and, where applicable, to other users (for example, when purchasers evaluate an influencer’s profile and audience).
- Communicate with You and Provide Support. We use your contact information to send you service-related communications (for example, account notices, security alerts, subscription information, or changes to our terms and policies), respond to your requests, provide technical support, and manage our relationship with you. We may also use your communications with us for training, quality assurance, and dispute resolution purposes.
- Market and Promote the Platform. We use information about your use of the Platform and our websites, such as the pages you visit, features you use, and content you engage with, to optimize the delivery of our marketing and measure the effectiveness of our marketing initiatives. Where permitted by law, we may use your contact information to send you marketing communications about our products and services that we think may be of interest to you, in accordance with your preferences. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time as described in this Notice.
- Personalize and Improve the Platform. We use information we collect to understand how the Platform is used, to develop new features and services, to improve usability, performance and security, and to conduct analytics, research and surveys. We may use aggregated, de-identified or anonymized data to generate insights into how our Services are used without identifying individual users.
- Secure the Platform and Prevent Misuse. We use information we collect to monitor, maintain and improve the security of the Services, detect and prevent fraud, abuse and other harmful activity, enforce our Terms of Service, control access to the Platform, and investigate potential violations or suspicious activity.
- Comply with Legal Obligations. We use information we collect to comply with applicable laws and regulations, respond to lawful requests and legal processes, protect our rights and interests and those of our users or third parties, and enforce our legal agreements.
LEGAL GROUNDS
Where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom or Switzerland), we rely on a number of legal grounds to collect and use your Personal Information, including:
- Performance of a Contract. We process Personal Information where it is necessary to provide the Services you request, such as operating your account, connecting influencers and purchasers, and providing customer support
- Legitimate Interests. We process Personal Information where we have a legitimate interest to do so, such as to operate, improve and secure the Platform, communicate with you about the Services, and market our Services, provided that our interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
- We may rely on your consent, for example, to place certain cookies, to send certain marketing communications, or to access and use Social Media Data where required by the social media platform’s terms. You can withdraw your consent at any time, though this may not affect processing that has already taken place.

These service providers are permitted to use your Personal Information only as necessary to provide services on our behalf and are required to protect your information.
- Marketing Partners. We may share limited information with third-party marketing and advertising partners to help us deliver and measure our marketing (for example, to show you ads about our Services on other websites or apps), where permitted by law. Depending on where you live, this may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of Personal Information for targeted advertising. You may have the right to opt out of such activities under applicable law.

We ask that minors (under the age of 13) not use the Platform. If a child under the age of 13 has provided us with Personal Information, a parent or guardian of that child may contact us and request that such information be deleted from our records.
KEEPING YOUR INFORMATION SAFE
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect your Personal Information against loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. We retain your Personal Information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (for example, for tax, accounting or legal purposes). When we no longer need your Personal Information, we will delete it or take steps to de-identify it. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information for analytics and reporting.
INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Your Personal Information may be accessed from, processed or stored in countries other than the country where you reside, including in countries that may have different data protection laws.
